If you are thinking of going to stay in the normal kind of Sussex cottages where the smell of bark mulch fills your nose more than anything else why don’t you look at somewhere a bit more unusual? Staying in a cottage is brilliant as they are so quiet and you can relax but this year you may want to try a place a bit different?

Windmill

Well like the title suggest this is a bit of a strange one to stay in but there are many places you can look to stay in one. Many of the best ones are found in France and even have their own swimming pool. So many of the windmills out there that you can stay in date all the way back to the 17th century, perfect for history lovers.

Loch Ness

Yes, there are many places around the lake that you can stay and once again they date back from many centuries ago. They have of course all been updated now and there are many additional features to these hotels. Tennis courts, golf courses and cricket pitches are available. There are tours that go across the lake, is the Loch Ness Monster really made up?

A Yurt

This has to be the most unique one on the list simply because when you stay in them it is amazing to see just how much can be sustained from the area around it. Streams provide the water, solar power provides the heating and you provide the food by hitting the streams with your fishing gear and hunting down that delicious dinner. Yurts are actually not rare at all but finding one to stay in isn’t going to be easy, the best place to look is likely to be Portugal but be warned most of them are in the middle of nowhere.

So whether you love the smell of compost from a cottage or love going away to strange places, there is always a holiday available to you.

I’ve been working in the government as an army for about two years. Throughout those years, I’ve been relocated to different countries especially to the desert islands. During the first few months, my life in some strange places was really tough. I’ve been fed up reading books, magazines and all that stuff. There was nothing to but to chat and hang out with my group. I began to miss the things I do at home. I started to miss watching my favorite television shows and playing video games.

Playing virtual games for me is definitely something I shouldn’t miss every week. But this favorite home activity of mine is no longer a part of my routine since I entered the military.

When a few weeks leave was given to me, I went home and one of my buddies showed me something that gave a change in my lifestyle as an army man. My friend introduced widescreen video glasses to me. At first, I thought it’s just an ordinary sunglass in a unique design. However, I was surprised to see that there were earphones attached to both sides. Because of my curiosity, I tried wearing the glasses on. But I was thrilled because there was a screen in it. What I was wearing were actually widescreen video glasses.

My friend intended to bring the video glasses so he could convince me to get one for myself. He knew that I’m into movies and video games so he thought that I would be interested to these cool and unique glasses.

He was definitely right. Before I went back to camp in Afghanistan, I bought widescreen video glasses (AV310) model. The AV310 has a remarkable 52-inch widescreen. These 4-ounce video glasses work with iPods and other multimedia devices. Although, I had iPods but the screen isn’t enough for me so what I always do is plug it in the video glasses. These video glasses are incredible which is what I really need.

Since I had these glasses, I was always watching television shows even in the desert or remote places. When I wasn’t doing anything I can play video games through the use of these glasses. Even if I’m in a remote area, I would bring these widescreen video glasses to accompany me. No matter what my position is, whether I’m sitting or lying down, I can watch in a full size with clear images. If I can’t watch my favorite movie, I will play some video games that I love.

Some of the men in camp borrow my video glasses. If I’m on duty, I would let them use it. But I told them to get glasses for themselves. In a few months or so, a lot of army men in our group had video glasses like mine. A lot of them, including me, like to use these widescreen video glasses more than anything if there’s nothing much to do.

I don’t have any reason to complain anymore wherever what place I go to because I already have my widescreen video glasses that can give me fun entertainment anytime. And I definitely would not go anywhere without my video glasses.
