After all those outburst of words, when you will discover yourself devoid of her, loneliness is encircling you. You may possibly think you are able to but that’s just what you think. And Now that she is gone you are saying to yourself the poem below;
Hold letters yellowed and fragile, brittle and torn.
Fingers touch the memories identified on every single page
How Fool I Was To Let You Go
The woman stands beside a sterile bed
Watching the practically empty shell lying there.
* If I could take back those words I said,
I shouldn’t be alone like this,
Like appreciate letters written once they nonetheless could share.
Filling my days with loneliness.
As she sighs, whispers, “I bear in mind your touch.
Do you know just how much I miss your embrace?
I pray you’ll return because I miss you so much.”
She turns from him trapped as if in a cage,
The memories from letters yellowed with age.
I search back more than the past,
Noticing the hues of love
Asking myself if it’s too late
That included discomfort and joy.
Crying so tough the day you left,
Around me by way of ageless decades,
Leaving a glow that lingers still
After a lot more than forty years.
Brightness of the gladness.
Would I trade this portrait
Don’t even know what lies ahead
Of love that shaped my life
With primary colors that radiated
For one tinged with nothing?
No, I’ll maintain our rainbow
To lose your enjoy I thought I could.
Even though it signals
As I watch you walk down on the road.
**** Pride is strong and hatred is long.
I cannot admit that I was wrong
I believed I’d rather be alone,
To Robert
And I thought I was prepared;
I’m not, as I found out 1 night,
The ache in my heart was severe
As I watched him endure and weaker grow.
So I made the decision to maintain a journal
To honor the man I appreciate and revere.
We’ve faced so very much over the years,
Together, side by side as one.
***** Your absence taught me what really like is,
The laughter, the joy, the giving
Were more crucial than the tears.
Your love, your touch, your warm embrace,
Yet the tears watered and fed
Into the combined force we’ve become
