Polar Switch 2012 – The Real Deal
So much talk about polar switch has been heard lately, but is it true?
Based on the claims of the supporters of the polar switch 2012 theory, it is.
Where Did The Idea Root From
The originator of the theory, Charles A. Hapgood is best remembered for his fascinating concepts about polar shift and his books, ‘The Earth’s Shifting Crust’, ‘Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings’ and ‘The Path of the Pole’. His radical theories explain that the Earth’s rotational axis has been displaced during various periods in history. This claim is supported by the fact that the crust of the Earth sits on the thick layer of semi-liquid rock. The crust and the layer of molten rock beneath it makes such theories as continental drift very possible.
Originally, however, Hapgood’s theory was supported by the constant build-up of ice in the North and South Poles. Since these masses are not equally distributed about the poles, he proposed it was possible for ice to form heavily on one part of the poles – reaching up to 2 miles thick at various locations – eventually destabilizing Earth’s rotation. Even Albert Einstein bought the concept.
As Hapgood continued his investigation, however, he realized that while it is not a bad idea, it is nevertheless quite impossible to occur. Back with new theories, Hapgood went on to propose that the Earth crust displacements have been happening for the last 100,000 years, with the latest switch occurring during the close of the recent Ice Age.
Newer Findings
It is good to note that while during the recent times proponents of Polar Shift Theory have forwarded a variety of doomsday scenarios related to cataclysmic polar switch, the original author of the idea argues differently. Based on Hapgood’s theories and the evidence he had gathered, this is far from the principles of the theory. Instead, the occurrence of the polar shift may be observed over a very long period of time – thousands of years even. It is possible to observe this pole shift for over a period of 5,000 to 20,000 years, depending on what location is being studied.
This earlier realization does not discourage newer students of this theory to continue proposing that the next polar shift will happen on 2012, in time for other cataclysmic events predicted thousands of years in advance by not fewer than 4 ancient civilizations. It is believed that this imminent pole switch will force the Earth and mankind into a period of chaos, even complete catastrophe.
Conclusion
If it is true that another polar shift will occur in the very near future, isn’t it logical to be concerned? After all, the damage polar switch 2012 will harbor mankind is of global and catastrophic proportions. To put it safely, it is best to be prepared for the things that many expect to happen, whether or not you believe in the catastrophes to come.
