5 Reasons Men Should Love Ballroom Dancing Too
Some men might view ballroom dancing as an activity for women. How ever there have been some pretty manly men prove that they can dance with the best of them on hit TV shows like “Dancing with the Stars”.
The truth is there are lots of great reasons men should be interested in learning ballroom dance as well and I’ll give you five of those reasons in this article.
Staying Fit
Ballroom dance is not for those men that are lazy. You’re always moving around, stretching and using your muscles. You do need to be at a certain level of fitness to perfect some of the steps and moves of the more physical dances. If you find you don’t exercise as much as you used to then ballroom dancing can be a great activity to keep fit.
Great Entertainment Value
Dancing is as much about having a good time as it is about fitness. If you can start learning to dance with an open mind then I’m confident you’ll have fun and find it’s a great alternative to those old boring routines you do on the weekend.
Co-operation Building
Working together with your significant other to learn the steps to a particular dance takes team work. The same type of co-operation that will help you grow in other areas of your life where you need to work as a team. It’s a great growth exercise.
Building Intimacy
Holding each other close during your dance lessons or during a night out on the town dancing is romantic. The process builds intimacy between you and your spouse and allows you to express your emotions through the movement and music. Most men who learn to dance do so because they believe it will give them brownie points with their significant others.
More Variety
Are you and your partner often feeling like there’s nothing to do? We tend to slip into routines and do the same old things. Renting a movie, watching your favorite TV show or doing chores. Why not change things up and head out for a night of dancing or some lessons.
Are you convinced? If you’re ready to get started then give some thought to trying a ballroom dancing DVD and start learning at home. Some self study courses provide as good of instruction as dance studios, courses like Learn and Master Ballroom Dance that will have you dancing the Tango, Waltz and FoxTrot in your living room in just a few weeks.
