Dancing Hen Parties All The Rage!
A generation ago dance hen parties were unheard of because no one had hen parties. The idea for the dance hen party is thought to have started in America. The craze for these girlie get togethers pre wedding has proved a lucrative market for all types of diverse businesses. In recent years the hen party, the stag party and the wedding itself have grown into stage managed events and can have quite a competitive edge. With celebreties selling their photos to popular magazines this helps to perpetuate the competitive edge to the feel of some weddings, particularly those in the media spotlight .
With all this happening it is no wonder weddings now cost so much money. The hen party can be an additional burden on the expense of the day. it can be prohibitive for those expected to attend hen parties.
Dancing hens parties would seem a naturally popular choice of activity for a group of girls to enjoy at a relatively low cost. It was the norm to go out for a meal with the close relatives of the bride just before the wedding, now it seems this is not enough. Todays bride plans a weekend of events for a small posse of friends and relatives. These activites can be included in a weekend away at a hotel, usually in a city unfamiliar to the bride and her guests. The more elaborate choices can be in cities abroad with Europe and even New York being popular . The event is usually arranged well in advance of the big day.
Dancing hen parties is always an activity which makes a welcome appearance. This can be organised with a party leader to help things go well. The hen often likes a theme to dance to such as one of the popular films of recent times. Other popular choices are the 80′s, burlesque, belly dancing and flamingo.
The bride and her friends, having learnt a dance at the hen party will perform it on the day of the wedding. This can then be enjoyed by all those present. The bride may also chose to have first wedding dance lessons with her husband to be. The result of the first wedding dance lessons can then be enjoyed by all those present. A dance teacher can provide the expertise needed to learn a few dance steps which can be performed in a relaxed and confident manner. The more ambitious bride and groom may chose to learn a unique routine with the help of the dance teacher to their ‘special tune’ . If the hens enjoyed a dance themed party as part of their actvities,a similar musical taste is often followed through with the first dance. Perhaps one day the men will enjoy a similar theme of dance at their stag parties ?
