Which Stars Are in the Most Movies in 2011?
Some actors work more than others. In certain instances, that is a matter of selection. An actor may just want to control his or her “exposure.” You’ve heard the phrase “overexposure,” when a star appears a little (or way) too regularly at a theater close to you. They wear out their welcome and drive the public to the realization that their profession is targeted much more on quantity than quality of work.
In some cases, actors may work far more regularly because they are simply preferred. They’ve a verified track record, and also the studios and filmmakers understand them as being a safe risk. Bear in mind, even the modest movie can cost numerous dollars to make. Associates want as much of the “sure bet” as they can get. Yes, it’s “show,” but it is also quite definitely “business.”
And in other situations, it seems that an actor is working non-stop in one year, but it is truly a case of coincidence. Sometimes, it takes a 12 months or far more to get a completed film to eventually reach the theaters. There can be any number of reasons why the filmmakers want to rework portion in the movie. The studio desires to delay the release till a perhaps much more profitable period of time. (For instance, when they find that the summer launch schedule is too crowded for their film to reach the audience it deserves, they may delay the release till the Xmas holiday season.) Consequently, it may seem that an actor has made five films in 1 year when, in fact, 1 or more of the movies getting launched may possibly have been shot last year and even the year before that.
Obviously, in a few instances, what you see is what you can get. An actor has worked relentlessly, and all of their recent work is coming out at about the exact same time. As an example, in 2011 Natalie Portman has 5 new films opening. So does Matt Damon. Daniel Craig has 4. Jennifer Aniston in addition stars Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp each one has 3. You can find a few character actors with as many movies opening in 2011, but they are the “top-billing” stars showing the most at a theater close to you this year.

Will any join the ranks of by far the most productive box office stars in history? Perhaps, but only time will tell. Interestingly, however, none of the top 10 box office stars is among the short list of actors with the most movies in 2011, but all are active. At the top on the listing is Samuel L. Jackson (thanks to his appearances in two staggeringly productive films in the Star Wars franchise-Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith-plus Iron Man, The Incredibles, and several more). Next up is Harrison Ford, followed by Orlando Bloom, the youngest member in the top 10 (and who rose so fast in the rankings thanks to his work in the Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean movies). Rounding out the top 10 are superstars Tom Cruise, Bruce Willis, and Eddie Murphy, as well as the venerable Morgan Freeman, also as Will Smith and Robin Williams.
All possess a body of work which has generated over half a billion dollars in ticket sales. Yes, that’s billion, with a b.
What else do these stars have in common? All have worked incredibly hard to accomplish their success. All trained in their craft, went to countless auditions, took probabilities, worked hard, and worked frequently.
