So far so good…. works better than advertised. Pictures are crystal clear, except for a few caused by camera move (me sneezing).. A good product, would highly recommend it to friends. Kodak has a winner below. I purchased
Kodak EasyShare C143 and quite pleased about it so far. I noticed several reviews complaining of short battery existence. I had the same problem, but found the fault was mine for not fully charging the batteries once. Bought new batteries (same brand and type as what included the camera), fully charged all of them, and presto, the battery drain rate was dramatically improved. Approximately 4 to 5 times longer compared to the first pair I managed to attach up. About 300 pictures before I needed to give ‘em a fresh chance of juice (electricity).

A feature not mentioned in the particular ad is this camera does in truth have “5x Digital Zoom” besides the 3x optical zoom.

I’ve had the camera just a few days, but have taken over 400 pictures (mostly just junk shots learning about the camera and its settings) and have no complaints whatsoever. Camera seems to have longevity, body feels and looks like its made from metal/aluminum, it may be plastic, hard to inform as its so well constructed. Buttons certainly are a tad small, but that turns out as a plus, as with my other camera, I keep changing the settings because buttons are “To Easy” to push.

I like that Kodak EasyShare C143 reverts returning to the default “Auto” setting when powered down and back on again. Makes photo taking simple, just turn it about, point and shoot and get great shots without the need of fussing around with settings. The one particular issue, however minor, is when the batteries are taken out or battery compartment is opened to take out memory card, you have to recast the clock. Not a big problem, just a minor annoyance. I’m retried, therefore i don’t worry about time anyway..

Problem was my fault (and will be that of others also) for not letting the camera focus.
