Can Music Benefit And Strengthen Our Health
The latest research shows that music can benefit us by easing our pain, energize us, better thinking, and fight disease. I do not know about you but I think most people like some form of music. Heat disease, asthma, Alzheimer’s, have been getting treated for years with music therapy, by certified therapist.
Music can stimulate the brain to produce pain masking endorphin’s. Research has shown that simply listening to 1 hour of music a day can ease pain by 20 percent. This can reduce the cost and need of prescription pain medicine.
Music can also be very beneficial when using guided imagery. You focus on an image that you want to produce a sensation that creates the emotions you want to feel. What you do is focus on an image that results in you feeling a certain way. If you add some music to it – it will be stronger.
Here is how to do it. Look around your house for a nice quiet spot to sit down and relax. Have a seat, shut your eyes, and elevate you feet. Find a song or set that will encourage the feeling you want.
Try to relax, focus on the image, and breathe nice and slow. If you start to lose focus you can calmly listen to the music to regain your focus. When the music stops try and stay seated for as long as possible. I listen as I’m walking on my cheap treadmill.
The more you do this the more it will benefit you. Practicing will help you get better and you will be able to focus anywhere. By focusing your mind only you will eventually produce the same results.
Do you have an insomnia problem? Do this for four weeks and it could improve your sleep habits. It is called brain music therapy and it boosts the level of melatonin which the brain links to sleeping.
Are you feeling depressed? A large part of the population will suffer from depression at some point in there life. Reduce your depression by listening to some form of classical music by twenty five percent. Music can help to lower someone’s blood pressure and lower your fatigue factor while exercising.
