What things led some people to think about Polar Shift 2012 supposedly to occur several years from now? How does this polar shift impact us anyway? As an information for the clueless ones, polar shift is a catastrophic event which will happen in the year 2012 with the rotation of the Earth going on opposite direction.

Such is part of the scientific explanation that some people arrived to claiming that the rotation of the Earth is never stable. While there are others who believe it is, some clues pointing to the shift happening on 2012 can be found in some history pieces. Ancient manuscripts and other forms of writings contain these clues so that the experts have theorized this phenomenon.

The magnetic field that is reflected by the sun to the earth continues to rotate is another scientific explanation. The earth consists of solid core, layer of magma, and crust. The magnetic field coming from the sun recharges the magma layer, which is just like a gigantic rotating donut .

It is not fully known why the magnetic field has decreased by 60% for the last couple of thousand years; however, it has been seen as the reason why, unless a pole shift occurs, the earth no longer contains many years left to last. As the Egyptians and Mayan beliefs tell us, the magnetic field’s decrease will cause the polar shift to create colossal destructive impact to the earth.

There has been a declining activity in the earth’s magnetic poles and is the factor to cause the alter that the direction that the poles go. It is in 2012 that some authority believes that this shift will occur causing many people to wonder what will happen as the year comes near. Massive destruction to the people were suggested after different predictions about this phenomenon were made. One is the effect it can cause on activities like the road users and other complex operations that functions depend on magnetic north.

These operations will be in significant risk once the shift happens. But more seriously is the effect it can give to the magnetosphere, which is that part that provides protection needed by the earth against destructive particles. The magnetism that functions as barrier to the earth does not only send protection from these damaging particles but from the solar winds as well.

The risk will be more on the people and inhabitants of the earth as we are left exposed to the danger that those charged particles and radiation will bring once that barrier is interrupted by a pole shift. The theory contains that massive flooding, tsunami and earthquakes, as a result of the polar shift, will disastrously affect the tectonic plates of the earth and will negatively create many physical changes.

The change and effect will be catastrophic leading to a doomsday scenario if that theory does happen, as some prophecies have told the human race. Whether this doomsday scenario is believable or not, this is not the question. The needed answer is from a question on how much the Polar Shift 2012 will affect the humankind or how much we are prepared for it should the doomsday occur.
